Your future roleTake on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive safety management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You ll work alongside dedicated, knowledgeable, and collaborative teammates. You ll contribute to the development and implementation of top-tier safety programs in alignment with the SCRRA Safety Plan, ensuring a safe working environment for all. Day-to-day, you ll work closely with teams across the business (including operational and maintenance staff, contractors, and public agency employees), provide essential guidance and training to field personnel, and much more.
Responsibilities- Developing submittal and supporting the Training Plan under 49
CFR-Part 243 regulations, - Maintaining documentation of training and qualifications performed of contractors, subcontractors, third parties, Authority, and public agency employees,
- Managing the Title 49, CFR, Part 219 program,
- Ensuring contract compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and with SCRRA Standards, Rules, Regulations and Policies,
- Developing training curriculum, programs, testing and qualification guidelines

- Degree in technical or safety-related field or equivalent experience,
- Experience or understanding of railroad operations or maintenance,
- Knowledge of Federal Regulations Parts 200-299, CPUC Regulations, and CAL/OSHA regulations,
- Familiarity with safety program implementation, direction, and monitoring,
- A certification in ASP - Associate Safety Professional or CSP - Certified Safety Professional is preferable
