AECOM seeks a Sr. Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to serve as the lead engineer on mid‑ to large‑size projects in Los Angeles, CA.

• Lead engineering on mid‑ to large‑size projects.
• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise.
• Approve and sign off on work.
• Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Present complex technical solutions to clients.
• Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participate in development of technical proposals.
• Provide estimates for engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.

• Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered.
• Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Southern California (including Caltrans project experience).
• Experience preparing technical specifications in Greenbook and/or Caltrans format.
• Minimum of ten years of technical experience demonstrating progressive leadership.
• Proficient in Microstation, InRoads, Auto Cad, and Civil 3D and ability to lead others in their use.
• Desire to develop marketing skills and participate in proposals and presentations.
• Ability to assist in proposals and presentations.
• Participate in professional organizations representing the company.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on education, qualifications, experience, and location, within the base pay range provided.
