Compensation$150000 - $225000 / year
Position SummaryThe OCS Engineer is responsible in managing the Overhead Contact System (OCS) scope from design through construction, testing and commissioning of the project.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and DutiesManage OCS scope, design, procurement, installation, and testing to meet project and customer requirements.
Oversee OCS subcontractors, billings, change proposals fragte and project closeout documentation.
Support Construction Managers with installation plans, drawings, and QA/QC compliance.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of OCS and Traction Power equipment.
Manage testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
Maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
Promote team discipline, morale, and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 5–10 years’ experience in rail projects, Signal/Train Control required.
- Electrical PE preferred; knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
- Thorough understanding of Signal/Train Control systems used in transit.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CADD experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and મુક able to meet deadlines.
- Analytical, creative problem‑solving abilities; transparent communicator.
- Willing to travel
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
- Works in an office environment
- Frequently sits for long periods of time
- Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard
- May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
