Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to contribute technical expertise to cutting-edge building services projects across the U.S. and globally. This role involves designing, coordinating, and managing electrical engineering solutions for a diverse portfolio while working closely with architects, engineers, and clients
. The ideal candidate must have experience working on electrical engineering projects in California and will play a key role in developing sustainable and cost-effective electrical systems
.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule
, requiring at least two days per week in-office at one of the designated locations.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative electrical engineering solutions
. - Design and develop electrical systems, producing detailed drawings, models, specifications, reports, and schedules
. - Coordinate with utility companies and obtain electrical permit approvals
. - Manage project proposals, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient execution.
- Lead the concept and preliminary design phases of electrical systems.
- Prepare technical specifications and reports for direct client presentations.
- Monitor project financial performance
, ensuring projects remain on budget and on schedule. - Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers
, fostering professional growth. - Ensure compliance with state building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Utilize Revit and computational analysis tools for electrical fault analysis and lighting design.
- Present engineering solutions to executive-level stakeholders and clients.
- 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in the building services and construction industry.
- Experience working on projects in higher education, museums, commercial buildings, transportation hubs, and stadiums
. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.
- LEED AP accreditation is preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit for electrical system design.
- Experience using electrical fault analysis and lighting design software
. - Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders. - Ability to propose multiple engineering solutions
