Head of Electrical Engineering / Principal Electrical Engineer

You will lead the electrical discipline across advanced aerospace hardware programmes. This role is responsible for defining technical standards, delivering mission‑critical electrical designs, and guiding the development of robust, certifiable hardware for demanding aerospace environments.

You will act as both a senior technical authority and a people leader, shaping the electrical engineering function while remaining closely involved in hands‑on design and problem solving.

• Lead and develop the electrical engineering team, setting technical direction, standards, and priorities
• Serve as the subject matter expert across power electronics, passive components, and EMI/EMC filtering
• Own electrical hardware design from concept through qualification, including analysis, schematics, and verification testing
• Support production readiness through collaboration with manufacturing, configuration control, and quality teams
• Work cross‑functionally and directly with customers to translate requirements into robust, compliant technical solutions

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering with strong, hands‑on design capability
• Deep expertise in EMI/EMC, power electronics, passive networks, and aerospace‑grade hardware
• Proficiency in schematic capture, simulation, component selection, derating, and electrical analysis
• Proven experience building, testing, and debugging prototypes using standard laboratory equipment
• Familiarity with aerospace qualification standards and quality frameworks, with the ability to lead and mentor technical teams
