DESCRIPTION:

Fisk Electric is looking for a Senior Estimator that would primarily be tasked with providing estimates, quantity takeoffs and proposal documentation . This position would receive direction from the Chief Estimator and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoff's accurately

* Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates

* Research for and interface with vendors and subcontractors for proposals

* Perform data entry into and update material pricing in estimating software

* Update labor rates

* Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process

* Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff's

* Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance

* Special projects as necessary

* Assist with other estimating duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field);
High School Diploma or equivalent required

* Prior experience in construction industry preferred
