Position Overview: As an entry‑level mechanical designer at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we integrate our engineering expertise with the in‑field experience of our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. • Perform calculations and design basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
• Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs for projects.
• Support business development or pursuit activities.
• Participate in client, company, and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Occasionally visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
• Seek to fill gaps in industry and discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
• Maintain knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering and one year of experience, or three years of experience without a degree.
• Basic proficiency in engineering design: knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu software preferred.
• Understanding of the fundamental principles of HVAC design.
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
