Senior Formulations Manager

Arrae is a fast-growing wellness brand specializing in 100% natural supplements designed to help with everyday health concerns.

We’re looking for a Senior Formulations Manager with deep technical expertise across a variety of formats – capsules, powders, gummies, liquids, gels, and emerging formats. You’ll lead formulation development through commercialization, partner closely with R&D and Operations, and solve complex formulation and manufacturing challenges.

• Lead formulation work across multiple formats, ensuring efficacy, stability, sensory quality, and manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges, identifying root causes and proposing data‑backed solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D on prototype development, benchtop testing, iterative improvements, and ingredient innovation.

• Work with contract manufacturers to scale formulas from prototype to pilot to commercial production.
• Review trials, optimize processes, and ensure formulations meet spec through all manufacturing stages.
• Partner with Product, Ops, Quality, and R&D on briefs, technical feasibility, testing plans, and documentation.
• Support Ops and R&D in sourcing high‑quality raw materials and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Evaluate ingredient functionality, supply chain reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost considerations.
• Leverage your industry network to identify new suppliers, novel actives, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with an in‑house formulator, guiding technical skills and project execution.
• Prioritize and track multiple development projects with clarity, structure, and strong documentation.

• 5+ years of experience in dietary supplements, functional foods, or nutraceuticals, with hands‑on formulation skills across multiple formats.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with experience resolving formulation, stability, and manufacturing challenges.
• Solid understanding of ingredient supply chains, sourcing best practices, and supplier management.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition Science, or similar.
