As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you’ll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive.
From high‑performance data centers driving the future of AI to dynamic commercial environments, your work will directly support technological advancement, sustainability, and human experience.
- Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and paving for large‑scale campuses and building sites
- Prepare technical reports and calculations (stormwater, earthwork, sewer/water demand)
- Support permitting and zoning reviews for local/state agencies
- Develop construction documents and technical specifications
- Provide technical leadership and function as a project engineer or specialist on mid‑size facility‑focused projects
- 3+ years of civil site design experience, preferably on data center, healthcare, industrial, or institutional building sites
- Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D (earthwork, surfaces, profiles)
- Familiarity with tools like Open Flows a plus
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example:
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
