Base Pay Range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr
SummaryResponsible for programming, testing, installation, training, and client interaction for field controls projects, working as part of the Controls Engineering division.
Requirements- Newly degreed engineers encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer) required.
- Required to travel (up to 75%) domestic and international.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and HMI software.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics and P&.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages and SQL.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Conduct in‑house and on‑site commissioning of control systems, including customer training for installed and validated equipment.
- Responsible for setting up PCs, installing and configuring proprietary software, developing or modifying PLC programs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Opto
22), networking control PCs, configuring VFDs (Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi), and performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. - Provides training for operators, maintenance staff, engineers, and supervisors while on‑site at the customer’s facility.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and tracking projects across departments, including Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, Safety, and Procurement to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution.
- Develop and maintain ASC’s proprietary software, which is menu‑driven and object‑oriented, incorporating VB scripts and database read/write operations.
- Coordinate with customers to review product designs and delivery schedules.
- Manage automation equipment ranging from standard systems like autoclaves and ovens to customized software upgrades for presses and other retrofit projects.
Complete six to eight weeks of in‑house training on our software, PLCs, OEM equipment, and supervised equipment testing prior to travel assignments.
