We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Los Angeles team and support the successful design, deployment, and operation of complex systems.

The Project Engineer will assist in the planning, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software and hardware systems. This role requires collaboration with Systems Engineers, Product Management, and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and function seamlessly in customer environments.

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of software and hardware products in the areas of CAD/AVL and fare collection.
• Support Product Management and Engineering in defining software and hardware products and interfaces.
• Assist Systems Engineers during Internal Requirements Reviews with Product Management and IT Deployment.
• Support the Preliminary and Final System Design processes.
• Review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plans and support execution alongside Systems Engineers.
• Document parameter changes and other modifications during testing and deployment phases.
• Review System Acceptance Test (SAT) plans and assist or lead SAT with Systems Engineering support.
• Ensure system compatibility and interoperability across all subsystems.
• Manage and document system configurations.
• Work closely with Project Engineer II or Systems Engineers to ensure successful solution deployment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on servers, input/output devices, and workstations; elevate incidents as needed while documenting actions using the ticketing system.
• Analyze performance of systems, servers, applications, networks, and input/output devices.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration and processes.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Project Managers on all projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in project engineering, systems integration, or related technical roles.
• Familiarity with software/hardware systems, testing procedures, and deployment processes.
• Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

• Experience in transportation, software, or hardware systems engineering.
• Knowledge of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Prior experience documenting system configurations and project workflows.
