Position Details
  • Start Date:

    early August for the 2025–2026 Regular School Year
  • Full-Time
  • Locations:
    Culver City, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Valley Glen
  • Grade Levels:
    Pre-School through Vocational (ages 22 years)
Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct individual & small group lessons as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Implement behavior plans and manage student behavior utilizing positive, strength-based strategies.
  • Apply appropriate crisis intervention protocols in accordance with Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) and school/agency policies to ensure student safety.
  • Assist with paperwork and record keeping as needed.
  • Accompany students on school transportation (taxi/bus) during morning and afternoon routes.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in special education or related field strongly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate capabilities in assisting with all aspects of classroom instruction, including teaching, implementing behavior plans, and managing student behavior utilizing a positive, strengths-based approach.
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational environment highly desired.
