Position Details- Start Date:
early August for the 2025–2026 Regular School Year - Full-Time
- Locations:
Culver City, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Valley Glen - Grade Levels:
Pre-School through Vocational (ages 22 years)
- Instruct individual & small group lessons as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Implement behavior plans and manage student behavior utilizing positive, strength-based strategies.
- Apply appropriate crisis intervention protocols in accordance with Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) and school/agency policies to ensure student safety.
- Assist with paperwork and record keeping as needed.
- Accompany students on school transportation (taxi/bus) during morning and afternoon routes.
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in special education or related field strongly preferred. - Must demonstrate capabilities in assisting with all aspects of classroom instruction, including teaching, implementing behavior plans, and managing student behavior utilizing a positive, strengths-based approach.
- Prior experience working with children in an educational environment highly desired.
