Early Childhood Assistant Teacher – JCC Association of America – Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $35,000 – $45,000 per year. We support individuals from all walks of life.
Responsibilities- Interacting and connecting with children, families, and partners to support strong relationships, respect, and collaboration.
- Working in a team to maintain a healthy, safe, and engaging classroom environment, develop curriculum, and care for a group of 12–18 preschoolers.
- Supporting a rich play‑based curriculum grounded in Judaic values and traditions and a strong view of children as learners and thinkers.
- Approaching conflicts as opportunities to learn and coaching children to be problem solvers.
- A minimum of 12 ECE units.
- At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a school or center setting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and problem solve.
- Ability to be self‑directed, manage time, and complete projects.
- Open to learning and ability to self‑reflect regularly.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position (care for active young children, repetitive bending and lifting).
- Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (must be willing to obtain).
