Lead Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher

Overview

Homeschool Garden, a Kindergarten and Early Childhood homeschool co-op, is seeking a Lead Kindergarten Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. We are looking for a warm and dedicated teacher who can hold the class with presence and care, is committed to working out of the indications of Rudolf Steiner, and is eager to collaborate with colleagues and parents in service of the children.

• Plan and lead daily and yearly lessons based on Waldorf curriculum and principles
• Guide circle time, storytelling, artistic activities, handwork, and seasonal festivals
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and learning environment
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors, fostering a safe and caring atmosphere
• Observe, document, and support children’s development and readiness for the next grade
• Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Communicate with parents through meetings, conferences, and co-op events
• Collaborate with colleagues in faculty meetings and professional development
• Participate in school events such as festivals and open houses
• Uphold professional standards while supporting the school’s mission and values
• Stay engaged in ongoing learning and practice of Waldorf pedagogy
• Ability to lift 25–30 pounds

• Waldorf Early Childhood Certification
• Teaching experience in a Waldorf early childhood setting preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative work
• Dedication to Waldorf methods and Rudolf Steiner’s indications
• Warmth, flexibility, emotional intelligence, and energy for active classroom work
