About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Los Angeles, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA
- Schedule: 10 hours, 2 days a week for 1.25 hour sessions
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
- Spanish/English bilingual tutor experienced in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Strong background in language and communication development, especially at the Pre-K/Kindergarten level.
- Comfortable providing beginner-level Spanish instruction using structured, age-appropriate materials.
- Patient, encouraging, and able to support social and emotional development alongside academics.
- Skilled in creating or adapting structured curriculum and lesson plans for early learners.
- Able to conduct an initial assessment to determine starting level and instructional approach.
- Engaging, calm, and consistent, with the ability to build rapport and confidence.
- Provide individualized tutoring focused on language and communication development.
- Introduce and reinforce beginner Spanish vocabulary and concepts using structured instruction.
- Support early academic readiness aligned with Pre-K/Kindergarten ELA and math exposure.
- Use visual supports, repetition, and hands-on activities to strengthen engagement and comprehension.
- Encourage expressive language, listening skills, and basic conversational communication.
- Implement structured routines and guided practice to support learning consistency.
- Complete an initial assessment and adjust instruction based on progress and responsiveness.
