Position DescriptionThe Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Adjunct Professor. The candidate is expected to conduct research related to lung biology and disease, with a focus on lung injury. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in immunology including preclinical models, ex vivo models, imaging, and cell/molecular biology with the goal of developing novel therapeutics for targeting locally active proteins in the lung.
The candidate will be expected to publish in peer‑reviewed journals, facilitate the development and sustenance of a program through continued extramural funding, and participate in the training of students and post‑doctoral fellows.
A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent is required.

QualificationsBasic qualifications: A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent is required.
Additional qualifications: The candidate must have experience in independently developing and executing preclinical and ex vivo models of lung disease, as documented by prior publications and/or grant funding.
