Essential Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a positive, achievement‑oriented, supportive, and collaborative culture of high expectations.
- Effectively execute assigned curriculum and just‑in‑time supports to reach every scholar.
- Plan daily lessons, instructional materials, and exit tickets aligned to rigorous college‑ready standards.
- Use assessment data to determine differentiated re‑teaching needed to advance scholars toward mastery.
- Collaborate with peers to provide appropriate accommodations and support.
- Provide opportunities aligned to the College‑Ready Graduate Profile.
- Create a coherent and supportive classroom culture.
- Support preparation of scholarship for college, aiming for 75%+ four‑year college completion.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, families, scholars, and alumni.
- Believe in equitable access and a four‑year college degree for all scholars.
- Commit to anti‑racist, pro‑Black, student‑centered instruction.
- Demonstrate a positive, achievement‑oriented, supportive culture.
- Know how to use data, technology, and innovative methods to monitor growth.
- Have strong content expertise, instructional and classroom management skills.
- Hold a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Show strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- California teaching credential in Social Science (Single Subject or Multiple Subject) and a valid English Learner Authorization.
- Valid California Social Science credential or equivalent out‑of‑state credential.
- For Middle School only, Credential with Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Social Science.
- Bachelor’s degree: credential candidates must provide transcript for evaluation; non‑credential candidates will not be considered.
