• Develop and maintain a positive, achievement‑oriented, supportive, and collaborative culture of high expectations.
• Effectively execute assigned curriculum and just‑in‑time supports to reach every scholar.
• Plan daily lessons, instructional materials, and exit tickets aligned to rigorous college‑ready standards.
• Use assessment data to determine differentiated re‑teaching needed to advance scholars toward mastery.
• Collaborate with peers to provide appropriate accommodations and support.

• Provide opportunities aligned to the College‑Ready Graduate Profile.
• Create a coherent and supportive classroom culture.
• Support preparation of scholarship for college, aiming for 75%+ four‑year college completion.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, families, scholars, and alumni.

• Believe in equitable access and a four‑year college degree for all scholars.
• Commit to anti‑racist, pro‑Black, student‑centered instruction.
• Demonstrate a positive, achievement‑oriented, supportive culture.
• Know how to use data, technology, and innovative methods to monitor growth.
• Have strong content expertise, instructional and classroom management skills.
• Hold a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Show strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.

• California teaching credential in Social Science (Single Subject or Multiple Subject) and a valid English Learner Authorization.
• Valid California Social Science credential or equivalent out‑of‑state credential.
• For Middle School only, Credential with Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Social Science.
• Bachelor’s degree: credential candidates must provide transcript for evaluation; non‑credential candidates will not be considered.
