Founded in 2007, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is a nonprofit serving 13,550 students across 20 LAUSD schools. As one of the largest in-district public school transformation organizations in the nation, we are not a charter network—our schools and teachers are fully part of LAUSD. Partnership teachers receive the same competitive salary, benefits, and UTLA membership as all LAUSD educators, plus additional earning opportunities.
As a Partnership teacher, you will inspire students, collaborate with peers across our network, and grow professionally. We understand that effective teaching requires support, and we offer the following:
- Professional development in Literacy, Math, and Restorative Justice, extending beyond LAUSD’s standard offerings.
- Meaningful classroom observations, feedback, and mentorship from teacher leaders and school leaders.
- A collaborative teaching culture that uses data to drive decision-making.
- Instructional coaching in Math and Literacy (K-12), support with family engagement, and staff at the Partnership who can help you navigate LAUSD.
* HIRING UPDATE: LAUSD has closed hiring to Social Studies teachers and Counselors who are external candidates (i.e., candidates who are not currently contracted with the district). Social Studies teachers with current LAUSD contracts as well as those with early contracts with the district can still be considered for employment.*
ABOUT YOU- You currently hold or are on track to obtain a California Teaching Credential, or you are a substitute, LAUSD Teacher Assistant, or Aide with a Bachelor's degree.

- Salary table for preliminary and clear credential holders (salaries start at $69,304).
- Salary table for teachers with Alternative Credentials (salaries start at $60,420).
- Salary table for Special Education clear credential holders (salaries start at $72,186).
- The Partnership offers professional growth opportunities, paid planning time, additional paid roles, and reimbursement for eligible relocation expenses.
- District-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you, your spouse or domestic partner, and dependents (approx. $16,000 value), along with lifetime health benefits for eligible retirees.
- LAUSD offers up to a 15% salary increase for National Board Certification
: 7.5% for the certification and an additional 7.5% after completing 92 hours of professional duties outside the normal duties and hours. - The Partnership for LA Schools is offering paid time for credentialed teachers joining Priority schools, as well as for credentialed math and science teachers joining our network. We are offering up to $3,750 (75 hours) for math or science credentialed teachers accepting a position at a Priority
* school, up to $2,500 (50 hours) for credentialed teachers in any content area at a Priority
* school, and up to $1,250 (25 hours) for math or science credentialed teachers at other Partnership schools.
