About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Los Angeles, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA
• Schedule: 3 hour sessions, 2 days a week
• Pay rate is between $25 and $35

• Experience working with adults or older students with ASD
  .
• Skilled in using assistive technology/AAC devices for instruction.
• Strong background in early elementary ELA and math instruction
  .
• Ability to create engaging, individualized, and structured lesson plans
  .
• Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability
  .
• Patient, creative, and able to tailor instruction to the learner’s strengths and interests
  .
• Experienced in blending academic rigor with play-based learning and hands-on activities
  .
• Skilled at promoting communication, independence, and real-world application of skills
  .
• Able to maintain a positive, structured learning environment while incorporating flexibility as needed.

• Academic Support:
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans for reading, writing, and math.
  • Build reading fluency, comprehension, and foundational math skills
    .
  • Reinforce learning using touch-based assessments and manipulatives when appropriate.
  • Introduce practical skills such as identifying seasons, making informed choices, and promoting self-sufficiency
    .
• Communication & Technology:
  • Utilize AAC devices (iTouch/Proloquo2
    
    Go or similar) to facilitate communication and learning.
  • Support the learner in expressing choices, answering questions, and engaging with lessons.
  • Track progress and adjust instruction to maximize skill development and independence.
• Instructional Approach:
  • Provide a bright, fun, and engaging learning environment
    .
  • Integrate play-based and hands-on learning with structured breaks.
  • Maintain patience, consistency, and encouragement to foster motivation and confidence.
