The Assistant Site Coordinator has a unique dual role: you work directly with students and you have leadership and administrative responsibilities. You will also work with administrative staff at the school, develop lesson plans, track attendance, and ensure grant compliance. This is a great position if you want to grow your leadership skills and grow within our company.
Typical Responsibilities- Assist the Site Coordinator by acting as the second point of contact for parents and administrators.
- Oversee the safety and well‑being of students during after‑school activities.
- Establish and enforce rules and expectations to promote positive behavior.
- Coordinate, manage, and engage in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
- Attend trainings or staff meetings to stay updated on best practices in childcare, safety, and program management.
- Address challenging behavior constructively, involving supervisors or parents if necessary.
- Facilitate sign‑up procedures to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
- Create unique clubs for students, e.g., career readiness, cooking, animeersoq, and dance.
- Organize and lead a variety of activities, including homework owns, recreational games, arts and crafts, and educational projects.
- At least 2 years of experience working in after‑school programs or youth recreation, especially in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
- Strong communication skills to talk comfortably with both kids and parents.
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed or successful completion of an academic proficiency exam.
- TB test with negative result and successful Live Scan background check.
- English‑Spanish bilingual ability will give your application an advantage.
Require Covid‑19 vaccination documentation if the school requires it.
