- Equitable Learning for All:
Serve diverse learners (including scholars with disabilities and multilingual learners) through inclusive, grade-level instruction and individualized support. - Curriculum & Resources:
Curriculum is provided for most subjects, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet scholars’ individual needs. Teachers are provided with curriculum maps, pacing guides, a repository of instructional materials and videos, interim assessments and item banks, and other resources. - Advisory:
Lead advisory classes that build relationships, support social‑emotional growth, and strengthen school culture. - Community & Family Engagement:
Partner with families and community organizations through our Community Schools and parent engagement initiatives. - Professional Development:
Participate in regular instructional coaching and weekly professional development to support growth and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a positive, achievement-oriented, supportive, and collaborative culture of high expectations that motivates and inspires scholars to learn at college‑preparatory levels.
- Effectively execute assigned curriculum and just‑in‑time supports to reach every scholar, regardless of prior academic background, disability, or English language fluency.
- Engage in internalizing assigned curriculum, tied to specific grade level and content standards, in teacher teams and individually to prepare daily lesson plans, instructional materials, and exit tickets aligned to rigorous college‑ready standards.
- Use exit tickets, unit tests, interim exams, and other assessment data to determine differentiated re‑teaching needed to advance all scholars toward demonstrating mastery.
- Collaborate with peers to ensure that all scholars receive the appropriate support, including the accommodations they need to successfully access grade-level content.
- Provide all scholars opportunities aligned with the Alliance’s College-Ready Graduate Profile.
- Create a coherent and supportive classroom culture to support scholar engagement, learning, and well‑being.
- Support Alliance’s aspiration to prepare all scholars for college, with 75% or more completing a four‑year college degree.
- Seek opportunities, both individually and through school-based initiatives, to build strong and collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, families, scholars, and alumni.
