LOOKING FOR A JOYFUL JOB IN A GREAT ATMOSPHERE? THIS PARTICULAR JOB LISTING IS FOR MONDAY AND THURSDAY MUSIC CLASSES. You will have a set schedule from 9:30/45am-1:30pm for both days. WE ALSO HAVE TUESDAY play class available too which would be 9:30/45am-2:30pm. So to iterate for THIS JOB LISTING, THIS COULD BE FOR 8 SET HOURS OR 13 SET HOURS EVERY WEEK, plus the possibility of picking up sub hours if other teachers need subs AND also the possibility of teaching or assisting birthday parties on the weekends.

At Gymboree, we take a playful and active approach to learning. We know that playing and learning are inextricably linked and our "whole child" approach helps children to build strong motor and social skills that better prepare them for school, all while having fun! Parents and/or caregivers attend classes with their children ages newborn to five years as they explore unique songs, play instruments and games.

There are 3 core programs:

• Play & Learn classes include age appropriate play activities on our custom designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
• Music classes involve instrument activities, singing, dancing and exploring a variety of music styles from around the world. Candidates do not need to be able to read music or play instruments - just be rhythmic!
• Art classes offer hands-on, process-oriented activities including painting, sculpting, and collage making, in addition to movement activities and songs that support different art themes explored.

We also offer Open Gym (free play) as well as a drop off program for kids 3-5 years old.

Your skills for the Front Desk shift must include:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Answering phones
• Display and sell merchandise
• Data entry in computer system
• Cleaning and maintaining overall appearance of site

Your skills for a teaching position with us need to be:

• Must be comfortable singing in front of children & grown-ups
• Possess strong group leadership and customer service skills
• Playful and energetic teaching style
• Experience working with young children is a plus
• Retail and customer service experience is a plus
• Commitment to on-going learning and program development
• Sense of humor appreciated

• One-year commitment. It can take several weeks of paid training to get you up to speed, so we ask that you give at least a one-year commitment for the job
• Ideally also available on weekends as we book birthday parties and need teachers and assistants for parties too

• Part-time
• Flexible schedule required; classes and parties are held weekdays, evenings and weekends. When you take on your shifts after training, you will have the same shifts every week. There can be additional shifts/hours if you're needed for subbing!
• Paid training will begin immediately

• Training is paid at $18 per hour with a bump when you are trained and start your shifts.
• Free Gymboree Play & Music play floor classes for employee's age appropriate children WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORKING
• Compensation: $18.00 per hour
