Comprehensive Area Specialist
Crystal Stairs, Inc. – Early Head Start Comprehensive Area Specialist
Improving the Lives of Families through comprehensive services for infants and toddlers.
Essential Functions- Review eligibility for program participation according to current Head Start performance standards.
- Support Child Development Specialists and families in goal‑setting, creating family partnerships, and collaborative planning for healthy families.
- Provide knowledge of community resources and facilitate referrals that meet families’ unique circumstances.
- Maintain confidentiality and build culturally responsive relationships.
- Implement monitoring methodologies to ensure sites meet eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance service goals.
Skills and Abilities
- AA in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or related field (required).
- BA in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Development, Health, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year working with children and families.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer programs; excellent computer skills.
- Experience in statistical analysis and working with social services or related community activities (preferred).
- Ability to travel between locations without difficulty.
- Reliable transportation and a valid California Driver License in good standing; liability insurance required.
- Meet State health requirements: physical examination, Live Scan, and TB clearance.
- Medical/Dental/Vision – 95% agency paid.
