Job Summary
The After School Educator provides academic intervention, homework support, and enrichment activities, supervising students and collaborating with team members to meet diverse needs. Responsibilities may include delivering specialized programs requiring relevant knowledge or experience.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a safe environment compliant with regulations.
- Manage student behavior to ensure engagement.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, differentiating as needed.
- Implement assessments and analyze data to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with staff and external providers to support student needs.
- Provide various instructional formats and foster high expectations.
- Engage with families to support student success.
- Complete administrative tasks, including attendance tracking.
Qualifications
Minimum educational requirement:
Associate’s degree or 48 college units, or passing the paraprofessional test.
Experience working with children or youth in educational or community settings; 1+ year teaching experience preferred.
Proficiency in technology and internet use.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $22.86-$33.30, with full benefits including health coverage, retirement, and professional development opportunities.
