Accelerated Schools Spanish Bilingual In‑Person Tutor '25/'26

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Los Angeles and we're looking to hire Spanish bilingual tutors who can assist elementary and middle school students after regular school hours. You will be working with students grade levels K‑8th with math and ELA.

You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.

You must be comfortable passing an in‑person background check.

$19‑24 per hour – pay depends on education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.

• Working with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff.
• Preparing the area to start tutoring sessions.
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in the school site if required.
• Taking attendance and running lessons through the Hey Tutor Dashboard (if applicable).
• Documenting student progress with the Hey Tutor Dashboard.
• Facilitating baseline and summative assessments when requested by the manager.
• Leading a group of students in tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for the students.
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices.
• Engaging and interacting with students during tutoring lessons.
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts.
• Performing any other duties required by the company, manager, or school site.

• Completed an AA or higher, or currently enrolled in college/university.
• Tutoring or teaching experience, especially with children.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Strong organizational and classroom‑management skills.
• Ability to redirect student behavior, take initiative, and collaborate with teachers and staff.
• Clear FBI‑DOJ background check (provided through us).
• Available Monday‑Friday between 12:00‑5:30 PM.
