AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
• Proficiency in subject area, with experience in case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of regulations affecting special education
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, preferred

Physical requirements include the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read printed or digital materials, hear and understand speech, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom type vary by school location. Recruitment specialists will discuss details upon application to match your experience and skills. The position is contracted through the 2025/2026 school year, approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week, following the academic calendar.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to student needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on strategies
• Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
• Manage behavior and ensure a productive classroom
• Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Ensure compliance with regulations and complete required documentation
• Engage in ongoing professional development

Salary:

$2,240.00 – $2,400.00 per week, DOE
