Locum Jobs Online  is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Neonatal MD in San Jose, California, 95124.

We are seeking a board-certified Neonatologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Mar 16, 2026. This position offers day shifts from 8AM to 5PM in 5-7 day blocks, providing in-house coverage in the unit without requiring overnight shifts. Candidates must hold a current California license and have at least one year of recent clinical experience within Neonatology.

• Deliver direct patient care in a neonatal intensive care unit
• Participate in daily clinical rounds and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
• Manage acute and chronic conditions specific to neonates
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Adhere to established protocols and quality standards of care

• Board certification in Neonatology required; board eligible candidates are not accepted
• Valid California medical license required
• Must have been clinically active within the past year with at least one year of experience in Neonatology
• Submission of a completed prescreen questionnaire and CV in MM/YYYY format (with all gaps explained) required
• Copy of NPDB self-query report required
• Preference given to candidates residing in California
