Locum Jobs Online is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in California! We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Apr 1, 2026. This position offers flexible scheduling, typically 12-hour shifts with the option for 24-hour shifts if preferred, and requests a minimum of 5 consecutive days per assignment to support continuity of care.
The Pediatric Hospitalist will manage pediatric inpatients, provide ER consults, and participate in pediatric burn cases.

Pediatric Hospitalist - Schedule:
Normally 12-hour shifts; 24-hour shifts possible if desired. Preference for at least 5 consecutive days per assignment.
- Manage 10 to 15 pediatric patients per day on the pediatric floor
- Provide 0 to 5 ER consults per day for pediatric patients
- Participate in 0 to 3 pediatric burn cases per day
- Treat common acute illnesses, chronic condition exacerbations, and provide post‑operative care
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Active California medical license required
- Board certification in Pediatrics required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
