Overview

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), in the Department of Surgery in the Division of Ophthalmology, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology.
The Vision Center at CHLA, an affiliate of the USC Roski Eye Institute, is seeking a full-time pediatric retina surgeon to join a world-renowned center to advance regional and global care for children at risk of retinal disease, including opportunities to collaborate with an NIH-funded research team using stem cell technology to model and study human retinal diseases.
- Join and contribute as a full-time pediatric retina surgeon at a world-renowned center, advancing regional and global care for children at risk of losing vision due to retinal diseases.
- Collaborate with the NIH-funded research team using stem cell technology to model and study human retinal diseases.
- Work closely with USC/CHLA faculty, researchers, and clinical teams to integrate clinical care with research initiatives.
- Completed a two-year surgical retina fellowship.
- Board certifications appropriate for ophthalmology; eligible for California medical licensure.
- Preference given to applicants with an MD/PhD and working knowledge of stem cell methodologies.
The annual base salary range for this position is $580,000-$590,000. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and applicable laws and regulations, as well as grant funding and external market considerations.
