Overview
California Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles, California — Full-Time Residency Faculty Appointment. In partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, the California Hospital Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Core Faculty Physician to join our established, ACGME-accredited residency program located in downtown Los Angeles. We are committed to training well-rounded, compassionate physicians who provide high-quality care to our diverse and urban underserved community.
Position Summary
The Core Faculty Physician will play a key role in resident education, clinical supervision, curriculum development, and scholarly activity. This position offers a balanced combination of academic responsibilities and clinical practice within a mission-driven environment that serves a highly diverse inner-city population.
Responsibilities- Supervising residents in ambulatory family medicine continuity clinic and hospital-based care
- Providing structured didactics, bedside teaching, and procedural instruction
- Participating in curriculum design and evaluation consistent with ACGME Family Medicine Program Requirements
- Engaging in scholarly activity including educational innovation, research, or quality improvement
- Participating in resident evaluation, mentorship, residency/hospital committee meetings, and recruitment
- Maintaining a continuity clinical practice
- Optional: OB labor and delivery services with call
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine
- California Medical License
- Prior teaching experience in both ambulatory and inpatient settings is preferred
- Strong commitment to health equity and service to underserved communities
- Partnership with Eisner Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Community hospital with residency affiliation with Morehouse School of Medicine
