Overview
This position is for an Urgent Care Physician (MD or DO) working as an Independent Contractor in a modern clinic setting.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat urgent care conditions, perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, foreign body removal, and basic wound care.
- Order and interpret labs and imaging, review and co-sign charts for PAs/NPs, and ensure timely documentation in EMR.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for APCs, collaborating with team members to promote quality care, communication, and efficiency.
- Valid California medical license, DEA, board certification or eligibility in Emergency, Family, or Internal Medicine, and at least 2 years of urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
- Familiarity with EMR systems (DrChrono, Epic) and supervisory experience are preferred.
