Overview
Board-Certified Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to deliver comprehensive medical care in a Sacramento correctional facility.
Responsibilities- Provide full-scope primary care, including episodic, chronic, dermatology, preventive, and in-office procedures.
- Manage urgent/emergent cases such as trauma, chest pain, asthma, and overdoses, including intake withdrawal protocols.
- Offer ongoing treatment for chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, HIV, and respiratory conditions, following national guidelines.
Qualifications include an unrestricted California MD/DO license, board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, completed residency, and current CEUs. Prior correctional, urgent care, or ER experience is preferred.
Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time, in-person role offers $185/hour, with flexible full-time or per diem options. Professional liability insurance is provided at no cost. A $1,500 referral bonus applies for physicians who complete 4 weeks on assignment.
