Position DescriptionThe Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCLA is recruiting an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon. Qualified candidates must have completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, a Trauma Fellowship, be board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, and hold a California medical license. Applicants are expected to have excellent clinical skills and actively participate in medical education.
Clinical duties will center on Orthopaedic Trauma care at UCLA's Ronald Reagan Medical Center and Santa Monica Hospital, with one to two days of outpatient care at an outpatient clinic. The role requires covering basic orthopaedic trauma in a general trauma call pool and engaging in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
QualificationsBasic qualifications: MD or MD/PhD, completed an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship, board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, California license.
Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated research excellence, preferably with extramural funding.
