The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, specializing in hand surgery.
Qualified candidates must have completed an Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery Residency program, successfully completed a Hand Surgery Fellowship, and be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery. Candidates must also be able to obtain a California medical license. Applicants are expected to have excellent clinical skills and to be willing to actively participate in medical education.
Faculty rank and step with UCLA will be determined and commensurate with the applicant’s background and accomplishments.
As a hand surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, the faculty member will be expected to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as provide care for hand pathology for UCLA Health patients. The faculty member will also participate in the hand call pool covering emergency hand issues at Ronald Reagan and Santa Monica Hospitals.
We seek an accomplished physician with an interest in developing an academic orthopaedic surgery practice focused on hand surgery. The candidate must be comfortable covering microsurgery in an orthopaedic hand surgery call pool and should be enthusiastic about engaging in educating medical students, residents, and fellows, serving the university community, and augmenting one of the nation’s leading departments.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications- MD, MD/PhD or equivalent.
- Completed an Orthopaedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery Residency program.
