Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner) CHLA
Join the Division of Endocrinology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Keck School of Medicine (USC) as a full‑time faculty member at the level of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner). The division consists of 19 full‑time faculty, 6 part‑time physicians, 5 PhD research faculty, 7 nurse practitioners, an accredited fellowship program and a dedicated support staff.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric endocrinology care, including assessment of newborns, infants and children.
- Teach medical students, residents and fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.
- Participate in a team‑based care model, collaborating with nursing staff, dietitians, social workers, and other allied health professionals.
- Share night and weekend on‑call duties on a rotating basis and comply with the requisite residency in the Los Angeles County community.
- Engage in scholarly activities and other academic pursuits as mutually agreed upon.
- M.D. or equivalent degree with demonstrated scholarly, clinical and teaching capabilities.
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to participate in collaborative, community‑based care.
- Broad familiarity with newborn, infant and child inpatient assessment and general pediatric endocrinology outpatient concerns.
Position includes night and weekend on‑call responsibilities; appointed to reside in the vicinity of the community supported by this practice, near Los Angeles County.
SalaryAnnual base salary range: $95,904 – $417,709.
