Architectural Designer​/Draftsperson

JAAX is an architecture studio based in downtown Los Angeles working on high-profile commercial, cultural, hospitality, and residential projects in the U.S. and abroad. Our work is built, permitted, and executed in complex urban contexts, often involving demanding clients, tight schedules, and rigorous coordination with consultants and city agencies.

We have an immediate opening for an Architectural Designer / Draftsperson with 1–5 years of professional experience to join our team. This role is documentation-focused and highly hands-on. The right candidate is technically strong, fluent in Revit, and comfortable taking real responsibility for drawing sets and coordination, and ready to dive into CD documentation for ongoing projects.

We are looking for someone who wants to become excellent at building documentation, systems coordination, and project delivery
, and who is interested in growing into a senior technical or project leadership position over time.

• Develop and manage Revit drawing sets, design development and construction documentation
• Produce detailed architectural drawings with a strong focus on constructability and code compliance
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
• Assist in day-to-day project management, including schedules, deliverables, and coordination meetings
• Prepare permit submittals and support city plan check and agency review processes

• 1–5 years of full-time professional experience in an architecture firm
• Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
• Strong proficiency in Revit is required (must be able to model, manage, and revise full drawing sets)
• Working knowledge of Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Experience producing construction documents and coordinating consultants
• Familiarity with California Building Code and local permitting processes, or demonstrated ability to research and apply codes across U.S. jurisdictions
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an organized and proactive work style
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Korean or a second language skills are a plus but not required
