Position: Senior Designer / Architect

Nardi Haus is a residential design and production studio dedicated to addressing the urgent fire rebuild efforts across Los Angeles County and contributing to solutions for California’s housing crisis. Following the devastating fires in January 2025, we began collaborating with design and construction professionals through the Altadena Collective in Pasadena. Our goal is to restore Altadena and other communities by working closely with residents, stakeholders, and partner organizations.

We partner with both non‑profit and for‑profit groups to deliver comprehensive design and construction support services. We are seeking an experienced designer / architect with strong technical skills, design sensibility, and leadership qualities to join our growing team and help shape meaningful, resilient residential projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design development and documentation for residential rebuild projects
  • Produce high‑quality Revit models and annotated drawings for SD, DD, and CD phases.
  • Coordinate with consultants and community partners across all project phases
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and public/community presentations
  • Mentor and support junior team members in technical detailing and project workflow
  • Ensure design excellence while balancing constructability, cost, and schedule considerations
Qualifications
  • B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited institution
  • 8‑10 years of professional experience in residential architecture (California experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Revit (required), with proven experience leading documentation sets
  • Excellent technical detailing, visual communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and coordinate across disciplines
  • Mission‑driven, with a strong interest in rebuilding, resilience, and fire‑resistant design
  • Familiarity with single‑family residential design, permitting, and construction documentation in California
  • Experience working directly with clients and guiding projects from concept to construction
