Our client is seeking an Interior Designer to join their Workplace Interiors team, contributing to a wide range of commercial projects and supporting the creative vision from concept through construction. This role is ideal for a passionate, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a collaborative studio environment and is eager to take on increasing responsibility as they grow in their career. The ideal candidate brings strong design sensibilities, technical proficiency, and the ability to integrate seamlessly into multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support all phases of the design process across projects of varying size and complexity.
- Generate thoughtful, functional, and visually compelling design solutions.
- Maintain strong communication and collaborative relationships with clients and project teams.
- Create high-quality graphics, drawings, and presentation materials using industry-standard software.
- Assist with integrating design workflows into broader project processes and deliverables.
- Serve as a design advocate throughout each project, supporting the overall concept and vision.
- Coordinate architectural and consultant documentation to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Apply an understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and timelines.
- Stay current on new methodologies, codes, products, and sustainability practices.
- Contribute to FF&E selections.
- Participate in producing major components of construction document packages.
- Assist with contract administration tasks, including reviewing submittals and RFIs.
- Conduct site visits, field verification, and on-site coordination as needed.
- Fully in
-office role (5 days / week). - Degree from a CIDA-accredited interior design program (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of commercial interior design experience; strong preference for workplace projects.
- State registration for interior design (or active progress toward registration).
- Proficiency in Revit with solid technical understanding of construction documentation.
- Interest in sustainable design and evolving industry best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within diverse, collaborative teams.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced studio environment.
