Interior Designer​/Project Manager

Job Description

Looking for full time interior designer, hours are somewhat flexible, in a fast paced positive creative design studio in the heart of the design district. High end clientele, room to be creative and room to grow. Mostly residential, work in and around Los Angeles as well as other states (travel required).

• Designing floor plans
• Designing custom furniture
• Shopping for fabrics, furniture, art, lighting etc
• Specification writing
• Measuring
• Drafting
• Creating proposals and design presentations
• Attending meetings to support principal designer
• Follow up on client needs and requests
• Meeting with trades and overseeing progress on job sites
• Interacting with clients
• General administration such as answering phones, keeping track of scheduled meetings, keeping track of orders, logistics, filing, data entry, creating client presentations.

• Highly proficient in AutoCAD
• Sketch Up, 3D Max, Illustrator and/or other design programs used to render and illustrate design concepts
• Must have extensive experience in residential design firm
• Excellent portfolio of previous works
• Creative talent, imagination and eye for design
• Communication and presentation skills
• Team collaboration
• Project management skills
• BS degree in Interior Design or similar
• Must be professional, presentable, possess professional writing skills including excellent spelling and grammar. Must be polite, energetic and flexible.
• Must have a car.
• Travel to projects in parts of southern California and other states would be part of the job.
• Must love dogs; this is a positive, friendly office with a lovely small office pup.
