RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping shape a strong, clear vision for project including coordinating all project efforts in order to ensure its actualization and effective execution
- Preparing strategic work plans, staff projections, development schedules and project programs to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
- Preparing pre-project documentation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects: proposals and contracts, project schedules, strategic work plans, staff projections, development schedules and project programs
- Serve as client/team liaison in order to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction
- Oversee, interact with, and coordinate the rest of the design team (including consultants) throughout the design Keep FF&P leadership regularly informed about project progress
- Lead a project from start to finish, including jurisdictional reviews and plan checks
- Direct and at times assist with the production of working drawings compliant with building codes
- Assist in construction related issues, including solving problems in the field
- Assist and be ultimately responsible for consultant coordination on assigned projects
- Participate in office wide project management and operation firm practice groups
- An experienced team builder who enjoys working with others in achieving individual and collective goal
- 10 or more years architectural experience with all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
- A Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited institution
- Architecture Licensure and LEED accreditation is preferred, but not required
- Experience in building-making: building codes, structural and MEP systems, materials, FF&E, construction techniques and detailing, cost estimating
- Experience and knowledge of architectural design as prioritized by a design-first firm
- Experience using BIM as a design and coordination toolli>
- A comprehensive understanding of project coordination and the related requirements for all design disciplines to support project design, goals, and requirements, code compliance, jurisdictional reviews, and obtaining permits
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- You are a problem-solver who can anticipate needs, help make decisions, and who enjoys working collaboratively with others
- You have an excellent work ethic and can wear many hats. You may need to act as part of the team in the absence of other team members. You may also be expected to participate in certain aspects of general office management
- You enjoy mentoring your project teams and actively contribute to office-wide mentorship
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and MS Office
