Senior Project Manager – Wolcott Architecture
Wolcott Architecture is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for the overall management of specific firm projects, ranging from medium‑large scale commercial interior architecture scope to tenant improvements.
This role requires comfort with client interaction and experience with project and design presentation.
Wolcott offers a fun, fast paced, creative work environment nestled in our custom office space in the Los Feliz/East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. This is a full‑time, in‑office position with excellent benefits, a 401(k) plan and other benefits.
Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day operations of projects with broad knowledge of architectural and interior planning, design, and construction.
- Prepare schematic layouts, oversee bid and construction documents, and conduct construction administration.
- Build and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines and manage project staffing.
- Analyze construction costs and produce detailed cost comparison spreadsheets.
- Negotiate and prepare contracts, proposals, and work authorizations; identify assumptions, exclusions, and supplemental services.
- Obtain and negotiate consultant contracts and coordinate overall project collaboration with consultants.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes (IBC, ADA, Title 24) and building department practices; apply AIA documents.
- Use Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Photo Shop, MS Project, Illustrator, and other industry‑standard platforms to communicate ideas and direct staff.
- Prepare schematic lighting layouts and oversee lighting construction documents and administration.
- Proactively mentor staff and foster a positive learning environment for professional growth.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial interiors/architectural field (technical and supervisory).
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design preferred.
- Deep knowledge of architectural and interior design practices, materials, and construction documents.
- Strong analytical skills for cost estimation and budgeting.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and project coordination.
- Familiarity with IBC, ADA, Title 24, and relevant AIA documents.
- Advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Photo Shop, MS Project, Illustrator, Outlook, web browsers, and Acrobat.
- Excellent lighting design knowledge and ability to produce schematic lighting layouts.
- Strong communication skills and ability to guide and mentor team members.
Salary Range: $110k – $160k/year, dependent on experience.
