TECHNICAL DESIGNER - Los Angeles
TCA Architects specializes in planning and design of high density multi-family housing, retail, mixed-use and signature hospitality developments. Responsibilities- Assist the Job Captain in the production of construction documents from cartoon sets.
- Prepare general project data sheets, dimension all plans, note and reference materials and products.
- Draw undeveloped building and wall sections, assemble project details, and apply applicable code requirements.
- Assist with back-check, plan check corrections and consultant coordination.
- Transfer hand-sketched unit floor plans and elevations into Revit.
- Assist the PM or JC with services during construction (issue ASIs, RFIs, and review shop drawings).
- Multi-family experience preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years Revit experience
- Working knowledge of building construction Types I, III and V
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred
- On track to be licensed
The Technical Designer will be located in our downtown Los Angeles office. We offer a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and Thursday–Friday from home.
Salary Range$28.00 - $38.00/hour ($58,240 - $79,040/year)
About TCA Los AngelesTCA's Downtown Los Angeles studio is near restaurants, a growing retail scene, the Fashion District, Staples Center, the Convention Center and LA Live. The studio has access to public transportation and is close to Amtrak and Metrolink stations. Many team members live and work in Downtown LA.
