THE POSITION

Lovers Unite is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Designer/Project Architect with 6+ years experience to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Senior Designer/Project Architect, you will work in collaboration with the Partners and project team to design, coordinate and document high-end residential and hospitality projects through all phases of design. Candidates must exhibit strong design, organization, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Formally trained in art and architecture and exceptionally hands-on, our services include architecture, interior design, creative direction and brand creation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture.

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant professional experience in high-end residential and hospitality design.

  • Experience managing projects and producing documentation for all project phases from Feasibility and Concept Design through Construction Documents and Construction Administration phases.

  • Experience producing permit sets and coordinating with project team consultants.

  • Experience and familiarity with building codes, construction types, systems, assemblies, and detailing.

  • Proficiency in Sketch Up, Autocad, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).

  • Rendering/visualization software proficiency a plus including Sketchup & Enscape.

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to be involved in all aspects of a project.

  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.

  • Licensure is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to work in-person, full-time, five days per week.

  • We require applicants to have the legal right and authorization in place to work in the US when applying for this position.
