Junior Interior Designer

We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our boutique interior design studio in Los Angeles, CA. We’re a small, collaborative team working on thoughtful, high‑end residential projects across the country. The right candidate is organized, design-focused, and eager to grow within a creative environment that values initiative and attention to detail.

Position Details
  • Hybrid: 1 day in-office + site visits as needed
  • Part‑time: ~20 hours/week (flexible based on project needs)
Requirements
  • 1.5+ years at a high‑end interior design firm
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or similar drafting programs
  • Must have a car and a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed design documentation, including furniture plans, elevations, perspectives, and millwork drawings using AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or similar software
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive spec sheets and paint schedules for contractors
  • Review FF&E selections, verify dimensions, and check shop drawings for accuracy
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and fabricators; communicate design intent under the guidance of Principal Designers
  • Conduct site visits for measurements and project documentation
  • Attend client and site meetings; take detailed notes and compile follow-up action items
  • Create client presentations, including design boards and floor plans
  • Assist with the procurement of furnishings, fixtures, and materials across multiple projects using the firm’s digital database
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed
  • Reliable, proactive, and self‑motivated
