Sr. Environmental Graphic Designer

RSM Design is seeking an experienced Project Director and EGD designer to be a part of our team. The candidate will assist in leading a team of designers through all phases of project including project visioning through implementation. Candidate must have proven project management experience with use of project planning software.

• 8-10 years of experience in the environmental graphic design field, or related design field.
• Must have experience in development of signage, way finding, and placemaking packages with the use of Adobe Creative Suite programs.
• 3D rendering skills in Sketch‑up or similar required.
• Experience leading projects and managing a team of designers.
• Collaborative team member with good communication skills that works well in an interdisciplinary, fast‑paced environment, as well as ability to work autonomously.
• Experienced with client presentation skills and the ability to manage client expectations with clear communications and confident leadership.
• Desire and ability to travel to out‑of‑town project locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, architecture, or related field.
• Candidate must be willing to relocate and work in the studio.

The candidate will have strong conceptual thinking, visual communication, and problem‑solving skills. This role involves assisting in all phases of project design and development, including programming, research and analysis, concept design, project management and development, and implementation drawings, and have strong experience with EGD projects from conceptual development through implementation.
