Registered Dental Assistant I – Northeast Valley Health Corporation

Location: San Fernando, CA

Compensation: $31.16/hr – $31.16/hr (base pay range)

Reports to: Dental Director/Dental Manager

Job Summary: Assists dentist at chair side, employing the latest concept of four‑handed dentistry.

• Assists dentist during procedures.
• Utilizes four‑handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepares and sterilizes instruments.
• Maintains patient records in electronic health record systems.
• Assists in patient intake and education.

• High school graduate or General Education Development (GED) certificate equivalency.
• Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California.
• Entry‑level qualification: no minimum experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant I.
• Current Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Computer skills in electronic health record systems and database systems.
• Fluency in English (speak, read, and write).
• Fluency in Spanish (speak, translate, read, and write) required.
• Current California driver’s license; appropriate insurance coverage acceptable.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to patients’ ages, including infants, adolescents, and geriatric patients.
