Role Description

The Associate Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design of handbags and small leather goods, creating sketches, CADs, tech packs, and line sheets, and ensuring product quality and brand consistency.

Responsibilities
  • Follow through on designs from initial direction/inspiration to final sample
  • Responsible for CADs, generating and updating tech packs/specs, and ensuring the product is designed to meet customer needs while adhering to development timelines
  • Responsible for line sheet updates, and line sheet design details (sketches, names, and materials)
  • Work closely with the Senior Designer and Design Director to manage the entire tech pack process; partner with PD & Production teams
  • Support the team in preparation for major milestone meetings including Sketch Review, First Design Review (FDR), and Market Presentations
  • Communicate sample arrival timelines and alert the team of any late or pending items. Manage sample coordination and organization for the design team
  • Attend weekly Design team and PD team meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • Relevant industry experience designing and developing handbags/accessories a plus
  • Exceptional communication, time management & organizational skills
  • Knowledge of materials, patterns, and techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take creative direction
  • Attention to detail and a passion for fashion design
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop: strong sketching and illustration skills
  • Strong understanding of the full cycle of design development process from concept to commercialization
  • Understanding of Clare V. brand aesthetic and lifestyle
