Art Director

About the Role

As an Art Director, you’ll be part of a nimble creative team for a fast-growing and fast-moving communications brand account. You’ll be responsible for delivering primarily social media creative that speaks the language of trends and culture fluently, and has a strong passion for music, entertainment, and pop culture. You’ll work with a talented team of conceptual creatives, makers, content creators, strategists, and account services to see creative development through from ideation to execution.

The ideal candidate will be decisive, capable of bringing a wide range of options and thinking under tight deadlines with a high caliber of craft.

• Creative conception, ideation, and brainstorming with other team members
• Execution and production of final creative assets like static digital ads and video content
• Participating in client meetings, occasionally presenting your own work, and listening to and ingesting client feedback
• Contributing to the design of presentation decks and key visuals
• Providing a POV and guidance during the internal and external production of video assets, including attending shoots, preparing pre-production materials, capturing social content, and digital motion and animation content
• Assisting with the executing of primarily social ad campaigns, with the ability to flex into traditional advertising and other digital marketing asks as necessary
• Organizing and managing creative product in collaboration with Project Managers
• Tracking and reporting weekly hours to help ensure projects and managed properly

• Must have 3-5 years of experience as an art director in a conceptual role, preferably in an agency environment
• Must be fluent in art direction, design, and productivity tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Figma, and Google Suite (especially Google Slides)
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and flexible, and capable of driving work forward with minimal supervision
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to successfully manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to receive and process constructive feedback, and action it thoughtfully with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Must come with a deep love of culture and social media, with a curious mind that’s adept in not just mining trends and references, but extrapolating them into something new
• Experience working in a nimble content creation environment is strongly preferred

• Los Angeles-based is strongly preferred
• Experience creating both paid and organic social creative is strongly preferred
• Strong design sensibility, with knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography
• Curiosity about or experience with generative AI tools for tasks like presentation visuals is a plus

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week.
