Job Description & How to Apply Below

Pocket FM is pioneering the future of audio entertainment, with over 100K+ hours of content and 200K+ creators. With 100M+ global listeners and 4B+ monthly streaming minutes, we’re redefining how stories are consumed across genres.

About the Role

As a Senior Editor, you’ll focus on elevating the narrative quality, retention, and performance of active audio series on the platform. You’ll manage a slate of shows partnering closely with UGC creators to shape story direction, refine execution, and intervene when data or audience signals indicate a need for editorial adjustment.

This role is highly hands-on and editing-driven, ideal for someone who excels at improving story structure, pacing, and character arcs while using performance insights to guide creative decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a roster of shows or writers, overseeing story development from outline through publication.
  • Act as the primary editorial partner for UGC writers, providing consistent guidance, feedback, and problem-solving support.
  • Review and edit outlines, chapters, and revisions, delivering clear, actionable, story-focused feedback aligned with platform goals.
  • Monitor retention and engagement metrics, identify narrative drop-off points, and collaborate with writers to revise and optimize content.
  • Translate high-level story direction from the Content Lead (CL) into detailed episode- and arc-level execution plans.
  • Step in proactively to strengthen pacing, cliffhangers, character development, and genre-specific storytelling mechanics.
  • Ensure content is polished, performance-ready, and optimized for A/B testing and release.
  • Maintain consistent quality standards across assigned shows while balancing multiple deadlines and priorities.
About You
  • 3–5 years of experience editing or producing long-form serialized content (web novels, audio series, podcasts, OTT writers’ rooms, or digital fiction).
  • Strong editorial instincts with a proven ability to improve story structure, pacing, and audience retention.
  • Hands‑on experience working closely with writers, particularly within freelance or UGC‑driven ecosystems.
  • Comfortable using performance and retention data to inform creative revisions and editorial decisions.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can give constructive feedback and guide writers through revision cycles.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple stories simultaneously.
  • Bonus:
Experience working in high‑volume content environments or with rapid release cadences.
