About High Scale
We’re High Scale — a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising on TV and social media. Think Amazon’s obsession with customer experience meets Space
X’s fearless ambition—that’s the DNA behind everything we do.
Our 120‑person team of creatives, strategists, and innovators produces thousands of high-impact campaigns weekly for the world’s leading lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios and a global influencer network, we’re ready to 10x our output in 2026—and we need a Junior Video Editor who is hungry to learn, fast on the keys, and ready to grow into a top‑tier performance editor.
WhyThis Role Matters
Speed, precision, and growth are your playground. As a Junior Video Editor, you are the engine room of our post‑production team. You’ll support Senior Editors by assembling footage, handling high‑volume versioning, and applying the finishing touches that make our ads pop. This isn’t just about cutting clips; it’s about mastering the art of performance marketing. You will learn the science behind "the hook," the rhythm of a winning ad, and the technical workflows of a world‑class agency.
If you are eager to learn from the best and accelerate your career, this is your launchpad.
- Support High‑Volume Editing
- Assist Senior Editors by assembling rough cuts, organizing raw footage, and pulling selects for high‑performance ad campaigns.
- Execute fast‑paced edits for social media (Tik Tok, Reels, Shorts), focusing on pacing, music syncing, and basic transitions.
- Handle Versioning & Resizing
- Take approved "hero" edits and adapt them for various platforms and aspect ratios (9:16, 4:5, 16:9) ensuring no visual quality is lost.
- Create multiple variations of ads (changing hooks, swapping music, updating CTAs) to support our aggressive A/B testing strategy.
- Manage Assets & Organization
- Maintain a pristine digital workspace, ensuring all project files, assets, and exports are named and organized according to High Scale’s strict workflows.
- Perform Quality Control (QC) on your own work to ensure zero technical errors before final delivery.
- Learn & Level Up
- Absorb feedback from Art Directors and Senior Editors to refine your technical skills and storytelling ability.
- Stay current with social media trends to understand what editing styles are trending on Tik Tok and Instagram.
- A Rising Talent
- 1–3 years of experience in video editing (freelance or agency). You have a portfolio that shows potential, rhythm, and a good eye for composition.
- You are passionate about social media content and understand the language of the internet.
- Technically Proficient
- You know Adobe Premiere Pro inside and out. You are comfortable with keyboard shortcuts and efficient workflows.
- Basic knowledge of After Effects (for simple motion graphics) and color correction is a major plus.
- Fast & Detail‑Oriented
- You can work quickly without sacrificing quality. You double‑check your export settings and catch small mistakes before anyone else does.
- You are organized and follow instructions precisely.
- Eager to Learn
- You check your ego at the door. You view feedback as an opportunity to get better, not a criticism.
- You want to build a career in performance marketing and commercial editing.
- Excellent Communicator
- Strong English proficiency is required. You can communicate clearly with a global remote team via Slack and Zoom.
- Growth Opportunities:
We promote from within. Master this role, and the path to Video Editor and Senior Editor is open to you. - Relentless Innovation Culture:
